The county health department is hosting a final flu shot clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 3-6 p.m., at Winands Road Synagogue Center, 8701 Winands Road. Shots cost $30, and exact change is requested. Those with Medicare Part B can receive their shots at no cost by taking their cards with them. "No one likes catching the flu, but there are a few things we can all do to reduce the chance of this happening," said Pierre N.D. Vigilance, the Baltimore County health officer. "Getting a flu shot, practicing good cough hygiene by covering your mouth with your arm, frequent hand washing, and staying away from people when you are sick, can all help reduce the risk of catching and spreading flu and some other diseases."
