No Leaves in the Streets
Full Description:
County residents are asked not to rake fallen leaves into the street because it is unsafe, potentially damaging to Chesapeake Bay and illegal. Instead of raking or blowing the leaves into the gutter, the county suggests composting them as a soil additive for gardens. Another option is to mulch the fallen leaves with a lawn mower and leave them on the ground, providing a fertilizer for lawns as the leaves decompose. Residents who choose to bag their yard materials should put them out when and where they normally place their trash. For more information, call 410-887-2000.
